“Manchester United are champions. They are the best team in the world,” says referee Bennett

We had an e-mail at Soccerlens this morning from a distraught football official who feels that he has been unfairly castigated by fans, managers, players, pundits, his family, his friends, people in the street, total strangers, his pets, the media, the unions, the employers, his colleagues and anyone who knows the slightest thing about fairness, efficiency or football.

The man is very down and he needs our help.

Dear Soccerlens,

I am writing to you in despair. I have seen the help you have given others and you are the only people I can now turn to. Before I start, I would like to ask you how much you pay your excellent writer Graham Fisher. I’m sure it isn’t enough.

I have officiated at two games of football this season involving my favourites, the champions Manchester United. In both of these games I have performed admirably and made some excellent and crucial decisions. Despite the brilliance of my performance, everybody else in the world seems to think I have got it wrong. How can I have got it wrong if United have won the league?

I am equally disappointed that despite taking centre stage and producing performances of elegance and beauty, managing to combine likeable good humour and banter with the air of authority, some media outlets insist on talking about the players rather than me.

The two games to which I refer are the game at Old Trafford on 23rd March between the wonderful United and that team that play in red from just up the road. Liverpool, yes that’s it. The other game was yesterday when my United won the league by winning against some Rugby League club.

In the first game, some nasty little Argentinean feller tried to hurt my favourite player the effervescent, bubbly red head, Paul Scholes. I managed to avoid the temptation to send him off or punch him and just showed him the yellow card. Oh how the silly little man moaned at me.

Then, after that awful attack on my Paul, this man kept going on at me. I was so cross that I didn’t dare warn him or say anything to him because I might just have said something that I would regret. Then when I booked Liverpool’s best player for nothing, ha ha, this little man had the nerve to ask me why I had done it. Obviously, I sent him from the field of play. Has he not heard of the respect agenda?

Some people criticised me for that decision. I was baffled, but then I realised that real fans, Manchester United fans, didn’t criticise me. I knew then that I was right.

The fuss about that game had died down and then I managed to arrange it so that I could referee the title decider yesterday between United and someone else.

Quite early on the lovely Scholesy did a silly tackle. I could have let him off but I thought people would only moan at me so reluctantly, I showed him the yellow card. I apologised and Paul was very good about it.

Then one of the players from the other team had a shot on goal that might have gone in. Luckily, my God son Rio Ferdinand stuck out his arm and stopped the ball. Some people said I should have given a penalty and even sent Rio off. How ridiculous. If I had done that it would have been so much harder for United to win.

Paul really was naughty after that and he fouled another player. I gave him a good talking to and told him that if he did it again I would be telling his father what he had done. Paul knew exactly what I meant as my brother has a fiery temper, like many red heads.

I was able to give United a penalty which was a huge relief, and then because I was sure that all would be well in the end, I was even able to teach my nephew a lesson by not giving him a penalty when someone from the other team assaulted him in area. It was a great day all round and I just don’t understand what people are moaning about.

Didn’t people want United to win the title?

Yours in desperation,

SB, referee, all round good egg and United fan.

Soccerlens reply

Dear SB,

Have you considered that you might not be very good at your job? Now could be a good time to reconsider your future career. Maybe you could go back to refereeing in the Kent League where you started, or could go full-time in your job as chairman of the Manchester United supporters club.

I don’t fall out with your decisions because I think United probably deserved to win the league. I just think that wearing a red and white scarf and jumping on Ryan Giggs after he scored was taking things a little too far.

Good luck in your future career and send my best and congratulations to your family, next time you visit Old Trafford.

Any similarities to real people living or dead in the above article are entirely accidental.

Doa seorang isteri

Doa Seorang Isteri

Kau kuatkanlah semangatku menempuhi segala cabaranMu
Kau berikanlah aku sifat kasih sesama insan
Sekiranya suamiku menyintai kesesatan
Kau pandulah aku untuk menarik dirinya keluar dari terus terlena

Ya Allah
Kau Yang Maha Mengetahui apa yang terbaik untukku
Kau juga yang Maha Mengampuni segala kesilapan dan keterlanjuranku
Sekiranya aku tersilap membuat keputusan
Bimbinglah aku ke jalan yang Engkau redhai
Sekiranya aku lalai dalam tanggungjawabku sebagai isteri
Kau hukumlah aku didunia tetapi bukan diakhiratMu
Sekiranya aku engkar dan derhaka
Berikanlah aku petunjuk ke arah rahmatMu
Ya Allah sesungguhnya
Aku lemah tanpa petunjukMu
Aku buta tanpa bimbinganMu
Aku cacat tanpa hidayahMu
Aku hina tanpa rahmatMu
Ya Allah
Kuatkan hati dan semangatku
Tabahkan aku menghadapi segala cubaanMu
Jadikan aku isteri yang disenangi suami
Bukakanlah hatiku untuk menghayati agamaMu
Bimbinglah aku menjadi isteri soleha
Hanya padaMu Ya Allah aku pohon segala harapan
Kerana aku pasrah dengan dugaanMu
Kerana aku sedar hinanya aku
Kerana aku insan lemah yang kerap keliru
Kerana aku leka dengan keindahan duniaMu
Kerana kurang kesabaran ku menghadapi cabaranMu
Kerana pendek akalku mengharungi ujianMu
Ya Allah Ya Tuhanku….
Aku hanya ingin menjadi isteri yang dirahmati
Isteri yang dikasihi
Isteri yang soleha
Isteri yang sentiasa dihatinya
Kerana Ya Allah
Sesungguhnya aku amat menyintainya
Amin… Amin… Ya Rabbal Allamin

tHe GaMe We LoSt...WiLL iNsPiRe uS tO tHe NeXt LeVeL..

So, Liverpool's quest for glory is over for another year. But, despite the off the pitch distractions, there are plenty of positives which suggest the search for number 19 could soon be over.

This has been a year when the search for a 20-goal striker finally ended, and some; a year when the most exciting partnership since Dalglish and Rush was formed; and a year when youngsters of the quality of Babel, Skrtel and Lucas Leiva showed promising signs of long and prosperous careers in English football.

As Rafa said "I think think we were very close".

"We were playing well, especially in the second half. With the first goal we were due, I think we had two chances.

"In extra time we were much better - but after we conceded the second goal, and the third goal, finished the game."

So, today was not our day, but the signs are there that tomorrow could well be. Goodnight. YNWA.

4 THINGS YOU PROBABLY NEVER KNEW YOUR MOBILE PHONE COULD DO

There are a few things that can be done in times of grave emergencies. Your mobile phone can actually be a life saver or an emergency tool for survival. Check out the things that you can do with it:

FIRST Emergency

The Emergency Number worldwide for Mobile is 112. If you find yourself out of the coverage area of your mobile; network and there is an emergency, dial 112 and the mobile will search any existing network to establish the emergency number for you, and interestingly this number 112 can be dialled even if the keypad is locked. Try it out.

SECOND Have you locked your keys in the car?

Does your car have remote keyless entry? This may come in handy someday. Good reason to own a cell phone: If you lock your keys in the car and the spare keys are at home, call someone at home on their mobile phone from your cell phone.
Hold your cell phone about a foot from your car door and have the person at your home press the unlock button, holding it near the mobile phone on their end. Your car will unlock. Saves someone from having to
drive your keys to you. Distance is no object. You could be hundreds of miles away, and if you can reach someone who has the other "remote" for your car, you can unlock the doors (or the trunk).
Editor's Note: It works fine! We tried it out and it unlocked our car over a mobile phone!"

THIRD Hidden Battery Power

Imagine your mobile battery is very low. To activate, press the keys *3370# Your mobile will restart with this reserve and the instrument will show a 50% increase in battery. This reserve will get charged when you charge your mobile next time.

FOURTH How to disable a STOLEN mobile
phone?

To check your Mobile phone's serial number, key in the following digits on your phone! * # 0 6 #
A 15 digit code will appear on the screen. This number is unique to your handset. Write it down and keep it somewhere safe. When your phone get stolen, you can phone your service provider and give them this code. They will then be able to block your handset so even if the thief changes the SIM card, your phone will be totally useless. You probably won't get your phone back, but at least you know that whoever stole it can't use/sell it either. If everybody does this, there would be no point in people stealing mobile phones.
This is the kind of information people don't mind receiving, so pass it on to your family and friends

I Wanna Love You Forever

You set my soul at ease
Chased darkness out of view
Left your desperate spell on me
Say you feel it to
I know you do
I've got so much more to give
This can't die, I yearn to live
Pour yourself all over me
And I'll cherish every drop here on my knees

[CHORUS]
I wanna love you forever
And this is all I'm asking of you
10,000 lifetimes together
Is that so much for you to do?
Cuz from the moment that I saw your face
And felt the fire in your sweet embrace
I swear I knew.
I'm gonna love you forever

My mind fails to understand
What my heart tells me to do
And I'd give up all I have just to be with you
and that would do
I've always been taught to win
And I never thought I'd fall
Be at the mercy of a man
I've never been
Now I only want to be right where you are.

[CHORUS]

In my life I've learned that heaven never waits no
Lets take this now before it's gone like yesterday
Cuz when I'm with you there's nowhere else
That I would ever wanna be no
I'm breathing for the next second I can feel you
Loving me ... I'm gonna love

Air tangan orang yang tak solat...

Patutlah kita masing2 kepala batu & degil...suka sangat makan roti canai kat mamak...tak sembahyang tu satu hal...ntah2 mamak tu hindu....lagi parahh... Semua orang tahu bahawa kalau meninggalkan solat tu, adalah dosa besar, dan malahan lebih hina drpd khinzir..Betapa hinanya kita kalau meninggalkan solat spt yg dikisahkan pd zaman Nabi Musa A. S.

Begini kisahnya...pada zaman Nabi Musa, ada seorang lelaki yg sudah berumahtangga , dia tak de zuriat lalu, terdetik dlm hati dia (nazar), "kalau aku dpt anak, aku akan minum air kencing anjing hitam. " Nak dijadikan cerita, Allah pun kurniakan isteri si lelaki tadi pun hamil dan melahirkan anak. Bila dah dpt anak, laki ni pun runsing... Dia dah nazar nak kena minum air kencing anjing hitam. Syariat pd zaman Nabi Musa berbeza dgn syariat yg turun utk umat Nabi Muhammad. Kalau umat Nabi Muhammad, nazar benda yg haram, maka tak payah buat, tapi kena denda(dam) atau sedekah..

Tapi, kalau zaman Nabi Musa, brg siapa bernazar, walaupun haram, tetap kena laksanakan nazar tu..lalu, si lelaki yg dapat anak tu, dgn susah hatinya, pun pegilah bertemu dgn Nabi-Allah Musa.. Dan menceritakan apa yg terjadi ke atas dirinya..lalu, Nabi Musa menjawab bahawa lelaki tu x payah minum air kencing anjing hitam, tapi akan minum air yg lebih hina dr air kencing anjing hitam. Nabi Musa perintahkan lelaki tersebut utk pergi menadah air yg jatuh dr bumbung rumah orang yg meninggalkan sembahyang dan minum air tu.

Lalu, lelaki tu pun senang hati, menjalankan apa yg diperintahkan oleh Nabi Musa tadi... Lihat.. betapa hinanya org yg meninggalkan solat, sampai dikatakan air yg jatuh dr bumbung rumah dia, lbh hina dr air kencing anjing hitam..Itu baru air bumbung rumah, belum air tangan lagi.. Menyentuh bab air tangan ni, selalu kita suka makan masakan ibu, isteri kita. Jadi, kepada muslimat sekalian, peliharalah solat , sbb kalau meninggalkan solat (kalau tak uzur), air tangan akan menitik ke dalam basuhan makanan, nasi, dsb..anak-anak, suami pulak yg akan makan makanan yg dimasak. takkan nak biarkan suami & anak2 gelap hati minum air tangan org yang tinggalkan solat..tak gamakkan?

tapi.. lain pulak halnya dgn kita ni.. pagi petang..mamak!! teh tarik satu, roti canai satu..ada pulak segelintir tukang masak yg tak solat..kita pun makan bekas air tangan dia..gelap lah hati kita.. sbb tu liat nak buat keja2 yg baik. beware apa yg kita makan... betapa beratnya amalan solat ni, hatta Allah syariatkan solat kepada Nabi Muhammad melalui Isra' Mikraj, sedangkan kewajipan2 lain memadai diutus melalui Jibril a. s. Ketika saat Rasulullah nazak, sempat baginda berpesan kpd Saidina Ali (&utk umat Islam) , "As-solah as Solah wa amalakat aimanukum." maknanya,"Solat, solat jgn sekali kamu abaikan dan peliharalah org2 yg lemah di bawah tanggunganmu."

Jadi, sama2lah kita pelihara solat kita, dr segi zahir & batinnya, kerana amalan solatlah amalan yg mula2 akan ditimbang di neraca Mizan kelak.
